It’s the little things in life... like a smooth decadent bite of chocolate.
I came across this eye-catching chocolate recipe the other day while browsing through a cookbook. I was so anxious to try it out because the recipe called for minimal work, only three ingredients and the outcome was rather picturesque (or so I thought.) But I have come to learn that unless you are Martha Stewart herself, it never turns out like the photo.
I had pictured the final product to be a sheet of perfectly swirled black and white chocolate.
I was then planning to cut the chocolate into three inch squares, stack a few together,
tie a pretty ribbon around them and deliver them to friends.
But I will be attempting this piece of work again. I have taken a few notes for next time and for any of you who would like to take a whack at it. Don’t get me wrong... it tasted fabulous but the chocolates pretty much mixed together and transformed into a light shade of brown.
I would recommend using teeny nuts. I used pecan pieces but they needed to be finely chopped. Then, sprinkle the nuts on top of the chocolate after it has been swirled on the tray.
I followed the recipe and added the nuts into the chocolate first and it ended
up being difficult to spread the mixture smoothly.
